Apple Vision Pro - First Impressions Usability Test

Objective

Evaluate users’ first impressions when creating/customizing a persona

Tasks

1) Create a persona

2) Make a FaceTime call with a persona

Recommendations

Key Findings

  • Participant interest was deterred by limited customization.

  • Could only customize skin tone and brightness

  • Hair texture, glasses color or style, and facial features were unable to be edited

  • Many wished for a “sim” feature allowing for complete customization

  • Many users found personas to be “creepy”

1) Adjust persona style to something non-realistic if 100% accuracy is not possible

2) Allow users to edit facial features when creating persona (nose, face shape, eye shape etc.)

3) Decrease weight of the device

4) Battery and cord may get in the way

5) Battery is heavy

6) App names are not labeled or categorized the same to an iPhone
