About Me
I am a second year PhD student in Human Factors at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, currently working on completing my Masters en route. My passion is conducting usability testing and user testing with user interfaces, consumer products, and Extended Reality devices such as the Apple Vision Pro.
However, before I got here, there were a few decisions that led to me being here.
I completed my undergraduate career at the University of Central Florida in 2022 where I completed an honors undergraduate thesis, worked as a research assistant for the Applied Cognition and Aging Lab, and volunteered as an undergraduate teaching assistant.
Since I made a quick switch to HF from clinical psychology, I decided to take a gap year and worked as a junior research psychologist at the Naval Air Warfare Center - Training Systems Division. While I was there, I realized I had a strong affinity for user interfaces and extended reality as used in training and simulation.
So, after once the gap year was over, I ended up at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University! I am happy to be in the Research in User eXperience Lab under Dr. Barbara Chaparro and can’t wait for what’s left to come.
